A traditional country fair with games, crafts, demonstrations,
falconry, vintage tractors, races, live music, teas and beer tent. Adults £1.00, children free, parking £1.50.
August 3rd (postponed from May 25th) - Porlock Duck Race - Sparkhayes Campsite
A quacking good time for
all the family. Ducks for sale from 1.00 p.m., racing starts at 2.00 p.m. 'Best Hat at the Races' competition.
Refreshments - hot dogs and cold drinks. All proceeds to Porlock Carnival.
August 8th - "Music,
Mirth & Memories" - Porlock Village Hall
A nostalgic look back at the 50's and 60's. Ace raconteur
Chris Batters will take you on a journey down memory lane. 7.30 p.m. start. Bar open from 7.00p.m. Tickets

A very special village event with bands, floats and walking entries. Free event.

Margaret Drabble, Rose Tremain
and Valerie Grove, biographer of John Mortimer (Rumpole of the Bailey) appear on Saturday evening. A light-hearted fun
and music evening on the Friday.
Media personalities (Times, TV, Radio) Sunday afternoon tackling some thought-provoking
issues with musical interludes.
Poets picnic with music, young children\'s play, Craft Crawl, talk by potter
Michael Gaitskell, special museum event, walks and an art exhibition.
Short Story and Limerick competition.
