March 19th - 21st - Porlock Weir Beer Festival - The Bottom Ship

Over 20 Local and National Beers.  Friday Night: Cod & Chips and a pint for just £5. Saturday Night:  Live Music from 'Rough Justice' - 8 pm.  BBQ All Weekend.  CAMRA members get a free pint with any lunchtime or evening main course up until April 2010.  Price: Free

March 20th - Porlock Vale Horticultural and Home Industries Society Spring Show

Competion open to all. Classes in Flowers, vegetables,fruit,cookery and wine. ... Entry forms to be returned no later than Wednesday 17th March.  Porlock Village Hall 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.  Price £0.50

A walk around Parracombe with Rob Wilson-North. Meet at the Fox and Goose, Parracombe at 2pm. Stout footwear advisable. Opportunity to purchase lunch at the pub beforehand. Porlock Group Members free unless stated. Non-members £2

June 19th – Porlock’s Midsummer Festival

Midsummer madness offers for one night only, street entertainment and decorated village.


July 3th - Exmoor Society - Porlock Group – Visit

A visit to Lundy Island. Boat departs Ilfracombe harbour 10am. Returns 6pm. Includes guided tour of Lundy by Simon Dell. Further details and booking form will be available in June.

July 16th - Exmoor Society - Porlock Group - Walk
 

A walk along the path from Kilve Beach. Led by Roy Cowdrill. Meet Kilve Beach Car park 2 pm. GR 155442. Boots recommended.  Price £2.00

July 17th - Summer Show -- Porlock Vale Horticultural and Home Industries Society

July 18th – Porlock Country Fair

Fun for all the family.  Recreation Ground.

August 11th - Exmoor Society - Porlock Group – Walk

Join a 5-mile Exmoor Society walk over Dunkery beacon and Stoke Common. Optional lunch at the Rest and be Thankful. Meet 10.30 am at Dunkery gate (GR896406) Boots essential.  Price £2.00.

August 20th – Dunster Show

Set on the lawns below Dunster Castle, this country show features some spectacular entertainment and plenty of shopping opportunities as well as cattle, sheep and horses classes.  Admission Adults-£8, children (4-14) - £3.  Free Parking.  Dogs permitted on leads

September 4th – Porlock carnival

The carnival atmosphere permeates the village, bringing light hearted entertainment and fun-filled days.  The procession winds it's way through the streets - with some hilarious entries including in past years fluffy ducks on bicycles....

September 6th - Exmoor Society - Porlock Group – Talk
